As I had to change my dermatologist because I moved my tattoo removal session has made me a little suspicious. After 4 sessions my skin has usually healed quickly (minor swelling and blistering) and there was frosting during each session. This hasn't happened during the first session in the new place. I wanted to apply cream after the treatment like I did before (and was advised to) however it burns and stings like crazy. Like it is an open wound. Never happened before. Is this normal?

Hello and thank you for including a photo of your tattoo. The best laser I have found for removal of black in on darker pigmented skin is the PicoWay. I do not see any ghosting with this laser unless there is already scarring from the tattoo artist. Your ink seems light so I don't think you will...
I think the ink has turned red and I agree it will need to be treated with 532 nm and 1064 nm
I would use q switch and pico-second wavelengths.
Best Wishes
The good thing is that the tatoo is new so it’s easier than the old ones.
For sure with a laser q-switched and at least 720 picosecond laser beam it will disappear in 5session with less risk of adverse effects than using other kind of tecnology.
