VI Vitalize Peel or Perfect Derma?

Hello and thank you for your question. First and foremost, it is important to have completely refrained from picking, in order to avoid damage of the skin and subsequent discoloration.
I am not sure which peel you have had. VI peels do not carry a Vitalize peel, I believe you may be referring to the SkinMedica Vitalize peel? VI Aesthetics has the following: VI Peel, VI Peel Precision, VI Peel Precision Plus, VI Peel Purify and VI Peel Purify Plus. 
SkinMedica and VI vary in their blend. SkinMedica Vitalize Peel is considered a superficial peel. VI peels are medium depth peels that penetrate to the papillary layer in the dermis (same as Perfect Derma Peel). These medium depth peels have a similar blend of components (TCA, Phenol, Salicylic acid, retinoic acid, Vitamin C, Kojic acid, a mineral blend and hydrocortisone. Hydroquinone is a lightening agent, you may add these boosters to your peels. 
I am familiar with both VI and Perfect Derma Peel. They are incredibly similar peels, however, the Perfect Derma Peel has Glutatione. This is a powerful antioxidant that helps to reduce the harmful effects of free radicals that harm our skin, and a skin lightening agent. 
Remember that a suitable skincare regimen and daily use of a minimum of 30 SPF is recommended to further enhance the results from your treatments. Best of luck.
