VBeam Immediately After Fraxel?

Thank you for your question. I would recommend waiting for at least 3-4 weeks to let your skin heal before doing another treatment. I would avoid sun exposure to the area and apply SPF 30 with zinc daily. I hope this helps.

VBeam laser can be used after Fraxel treatment if scars, both work to improve the appearance of scars.

Hypertrophic scars are more commonly treated by V-beam laser to reduce the redness; and theoretically by reducing the blood flow through the scar, there might be less stimulation of new collagen production. Hypertrophic scars are also treated at times by Fraxel laser resurfacing, and each laser often is done as a series of treatments separated by several weeks. Physicians need to determine if their patient is a candidate for both lasers and how far apart their treatments should be for a safe protocol. On some patients I have treated their scars in an alternating fashion between the V-beam and Fraxel Restore / Dual lasers, but each patient is evaluated separately, and each scar on each patient is treated differently if there are multiple scars. Special silastic dressings and some scar gels, such as the Skin Medica Scar Gel often are great adjuncts to laser treatment and patients with hypertrophic scars should ask their doctors about such treatments.
