Is topical finasteride 0.005% 2mL the same as 0.01 at 1mL?

I unfortunately cannot tolerate oral or topical finasteride. One positive aspect is my hair loss is slow and can tolerate 0.005%. I have read on forums some men who follow this mazzarella dose of 0.005% 1mL 2 times a day. For ease they do one application of 0.01% once a day. They did not see much regrowth but good maintenance. I can tolerate this dose but being a diffuse thinner I must apply 0.005% 2mL once a day to the scalp, is it the same as 0.01% 1mL once a day to the scalp dose wise.

There is no indication that finasteride has any effect on cartilage at all. Side effects that are most common include erectile dysfunction, low libido and gynecomastia.
