Can your face temporarily look lumpy and saggy after Microneedling RF/Vivace?

Skin texture looks so much better after one round of Vivace but certain areas of my face look more lumpy, wavy like? Also skin around my jowls looks looser? I’m a week out, could this be too some swelling underneath the skin? Didn’t expect a miracle after one treatment, but surely don’t want to look worse.

Hello! What you are experiencing is temporary. For most patients the redness and swelling resolves within a day or two, but some will have skin texture changes lasting a week or more. Remember that the treatment is creating new collagen, which is a 90 day process. Continue with a good skin care regiment, and if any issues continue, contact your provider. Everyone responds differently to this treatment. Your concerns are completely valid. The side effects that you are experiencing are transient and will go away. The stronger the treatment settings are the more downtime that you will experience. Having said that, I always use the feedback of my patient from their first treatment to adjust the next treatment setting.  Also, I send every patient home with a post-treatment kit and instructions to heal the skin and achieve your desired results quickly.
