Could I fix my gummy smile without surgery? (Photo)

Hello, my name is Eve. I had not noticed till recently how much my gums show when I smile, I am now very self consious when I smile. I have braces at the moment to fix my overbite, they will be off soon. Would veneers be a non surgical way to fix my gummy smile or is surgery the only option? I will attach a photo so you can see my teeth. Any suggestions are appreciated.

You appear to have a gummy smile related to a restricted nasal-pharyngeal airway.  I would suggest orthopedically growing your maxilla and working with a Oral-Myofunctional Therapist.  Be evaluated by an ENT for nasal competence, tonsils and adenoids.In the US the DNA Appliance is the best choice in GB Dr John Mew in London does Orthotropics which like the DNA Appliance orthopedically grows the maxilla and the airway.

By the photo, it does appear you have mild-moderate over-extrusion of your incisors and/or maxilla causing a gummy smile. Please consult with your orthodontist about temporary anchorage devices (TADs) to gently intrude your incisors and reduce the excessive gingival display. Cheers!
