Braces vs veneers smile makeover for a thumb sucker? (Photo)

Question

I'm ashamed to say that I have sucked my thumb since a very early age and have been left with disastrous teeth. I now would like to have a great smile but find myself questioning whether braces alone are my only option. I have an open bite and have had a couple of extractions over the years, so intend to include implants within the process of this makeover. Can I achieve a great finish with veneers without having braces?

Your issues are orthopedic and the best results will come from Expansion Orthopedics.  I would suggest considering using the DNA Appliance and Epigenetic Orthopedics for the best results.There will also be benefits of a larger nasopharyngeal airway, and likely improved posture and cosmetics compared to just moving teeth.

Thank you for sharing your case. You have a severe overjet and if you had someone place veneers on you, your open bite will still be there. Gaps will be gone but bite still not ideal. I highly recommend Invisalign first and then possible veneers.

Dear Sir, yes your upper teeth stick out and you have gaps. This can be easily fixed with Invisalign; closing the spaces, closing the open bite and so no need for implants.Takes about 1 year, but the early progress is amazing.
