Hi Texasbelle, It's actually not what you should put on your face but what you shouldn't that matters.A week before microneedling, refrain from using retinols, glycoic acids, AHA, BHA, astringents or Vit.C. Also stay off blood thinners and antioxidants. You can't do microneedling if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or used Accutane within the last 6 months. If you have canker sores and the like, ask your doctor if you need prophylactics 5 days before treatment.For the first 2 days, use Cerave only and lukewarm water between applications to keep you hydrated. No make-up should be worn during the first 24 hours. Suncscreen should be used from the third day onwards.You can resume your normal regimen 3-5 days post-treatment although your skin will be more sensitive.All the best, Justin Harper, M.D.
