Will using Sofwave reduce the effects of previous SkinVive sessions? (photos)

Sofwave does heat the skin considerably and can speed up your metabolism of the SkinVive. However, depending on when you had the injections, you may be perfectly fine to treat. SkinVive stimulates your body to produce its own natural collagen and to rehydrate the skin. Once it is absorbed into the skin and it has had about six to eight weeks then it should be stable enough to treat over without disrupting anything.

Thanks for your question. Sofwave utilizes microfocused energy to deliver heat into the dermis at a depth of about 1.5 mm, which stimulates the formation of collagen and elastin in the dermis. It is very effective for smoothing and tightening the skin. Results develop over the course of 6 months but start to become evident at even the 1 month mark. SkinVive is injectable microdroplet hyaluronic acid. It helps the skin trap moisture, but will not lift or tighten the skin. The SkinVive 'effect' per se would not be expected to be impacted by a Sofwave treatment. If anything, the Sofwave treatment itself also promotes increased hyaluronic acid content in the skin. For the best improvement in the submental (under chin) and neck, you should have a treatment that also includes the lower face so that you get the most "shrink wrapping" effect for the jawline. It's worth noting also that the heat resistance of other types of dermal filler (Juvederm, Restylane, RHA, etc...) is quite high AND these fillers are generally placed at a depth that is deep to where the Sofwave energy is being delivered- so, don't be concerned that Sofwave will dissolve your previously placed dermal filler.
