Alternating Retinoids - Retin-A with Tazorac every other day?

Hi! I have been using Retin-A Micro 0.08% everyday for two years now but still have a mild breakout sporadically. I have read clinical studies that tazarotene has greater comedolytic properties than tretinoin. What're your thoughts on alternating (not using them together) Retin-A with Tazorac every other day? My skin is very tough and my retinization period to Retin-A was nearly non existent besides light flaking. I take impeccable care of my skin, know what it can tolerate, and use SPF.
