What treatment is best for peg laterals?? (photos)

It appears that you are young and your teeth and gums are healthy. I completely disagree with the dentist who recommended doing porcelain crowns. In my humble opinion, that would be gross overtreatment!For younger people, oftentimes composite bonding peg laterals is the preferred way to go, with the idea that when the patient is older making porcelain veneers to replace the bonding. Saying that, you could go either way....composite bonding now followed by porcelain veneers when you are older, or porcelain veneers now.

All three of the treatment plans are legitimate and all will work. There are pro's and con's for each treatment plan and that is what you have to weigh in making your decision. Porcelain crowns are probably the most predictable procedure (lowest failure rate) but also the most invasive (have to remove the most tooth structure). Veneers are a good option as they are extremely aesthetic but have a higher failure rate than porcelain crowns. Composite bonding is the least invasive but will not last as long as veneers or crowns.Good luck!
