Prolonged orthodontic treatment caused severe root resorption. My teeth look good from afar, but small asymmetries, namely an occlusal cant and uneven gum line, make my smile look slightly shifted, and I am very self conscious about it. My periodontist said crown lengthening and gum contouring weren't possible, but implants WERE in the future. I forgot to ask about veneers, so my question is: Are veneers possible with severe root resorption (i.e. 50% of my roots gone)? If not, are other options?

Veneers are not generally going to fix a shifted midline. The best thing in your case would be to get braces to correct your midline, then get veneers to make your teeth look 100% better.I hope this helps.Dr. Sarah Thompson
