When I was six, I had chicken pox and developed three medium to large keloid/raised scars. One totally healed, the other two only partially with treatment (cortisone and laser). I've had several ear piercings over the years and a navel piercing and never developed keloids again. Am I prone to keloids? Is microdermabrasion likely to cause keloids on my face?
