Fractional Laser for moderate upper lip wrinkles - is it safe?

I have treated my moderate, above the lip wrinkles or peri-oral area with Plexr plus, dermal fillers and used Tretinoin, with little improvement. I am considering trying the Fractional laser as was suggested to me. I'm nervous about trying the co2 laser due to the down time and safety risks. Could anyone give me some feedback about this or another option so I don't waste more money and have no results. FYI, I am caucasian and 65 years. Thankyou.
