Answer: Sleep well You do not need to be concerned about the Botox or fillers interacting with the medication you are taking. Also, please inform your doctors about all medications you are taking. They will not be judgemental and will be able to prevent possible drug interactions in the future.

Answer: Medications, Botox and fillers Dear flightrisk, Thank you for your excellent clinical post. It is quite common for cosmetic patients to be on antidepressants and anxiolytics. Unfortunately, aesthetic enhancement will attract detail-oriented people that get frustrated by the ravages of aging or hereditary facial appearance factors. It is critically important; however, that you as a patient disclose the Trazodone and Valium with your physician as there can be drug to drug interactions with other prescriptives. While Botox and Juvederm fillers will be quite safe with the use of anxiolytics and sleeping medication you certainly do not want to mix alcohol with these drugs as the consequences can be fatal. Seeking psychological support and emotional support through psychotherapy may help work through some of your issues and most plastic surgeons would advise you not to engage in a cosmetic enhancement procedure while depressed or excessively anxious or suffering from insomnia. Fixing the house from the inside out also requires a healthy state of mind and perspective and this should be sought simultaneously or even in advance of considering cosmetic plastic surgery procedures. I hope this information has been of some assistance and best of luck. For more information, please review the link below. R. Stephen Mulholland, M.D. Certified Plastic Surgeon Yorkville, Toronto
