Thank you for your question. Hair grows at a very slow rate. I suggest you have a very good diet with 50% Complex Carbohydrates, 30-35% high quality fat from Olive Oil, Walnuts, Almonds, Pecans, seeds, etc. Protein at 15-20%, and from good sources like egg whites, chicken, turkey, fish, or soy if tolerated. Supplementing with Biotin is reported to help some people. Also, a diet rich in fresh fruits, and vegetables will do a lot for your overall well being. I hope this helps!
There is no surgery to make hair grow longer. The maximum length of hair you will be able to grow was genetically determined from the time you were born. For some individuals, hair can be grown down to the waist (or longer) whereas other individuals can only grow hair down to the shoulders. As we age, certain conditions like genetic hair loss may develop and such conditions can shorten the growing phase of hair. For example, men and women with genetic hair loss start noticing they can't grow their hair as long as they once did. Certain treatments like minoxidil lotion help men and women with genetic hair loss get back a bit of the length they once had. But it doesn't help them grow even longer hair. At present, there is no way to overcome the genetic programming each of us has and the maximum length of hair we can grow.
