My teeth have been in their final positions for over 3 months. Every time I go for a checkup, the ortho doesn't want to take them off yet. Last time I tried making up an excuse saying I wanted them off. I was told no. I don't want to have them anymore. How do I bring it up so they understand I just don't want do this anymore. I don't want my teeth to move, but isn't that what retainers are for? Why do I have to keep wearing braces if my teeth are done and have been for months?

I would not be overly concerned that your teeth are going to shift from Wednesday to the following Monday. It is a very short span of time! Make sure you get your retainers this Monday and wear them on a regular basis. It does not make any difference if you do invisalign or braces....
I have to tell you that the whole idea that moving teeth forward to correct tmj and breathing problems is very controversial. NOT ever orthodontist believes that this is a proper treatment! Before you start such an involved treatment get at least 2 other opinions from orthodontists...
Teeth move all the time, throughout one's entire life. As long as the back teeth touch, all is acceptable. The front teeth should touch when biting off food and posterior only during chewing.
It is very likely that the front teeth will move a little after the braces come off,...
