I had a crown placed about a yea ago that bleeds a little when flossed or pushing on the gums. My dentist told me felt a slight rough edge that was probably irritating the gums. My options were to replace the crown (which I can't afford) or wait and see if the gum moves away from the rough edge. The bleeding is very minimal and the gums look fine. If I continue to practice good oral hygiene will a little gum irritation from a rough edge have any long term consequences?
