Im 30, have an underbite, a crossbite and a gap. As a teen I was told I needed jaw surgery to correct my bite. My new Ortho told me my bite could be fixed with just braces if I didn't want to undergo the surgery. Is it beneficial for me to correct my bite with braces and no surgery? Will my teeth be in a compromised position that would cause wearing over time? I don't want to spend the $7,000 on braces and then still have issues. But i would also like to avoid jaw surgery if possible.
