Thermage CPT vs FLX for mild laxity in my face - which is better?

I am 46 years old with mild laxity in my face. 15 months ago I tried Ultherapy and now I want to test another technlogy and I am thinking in testing Thermage. I have gone to different providers and all of them have told me that considering price equal, is better to have more shots in CPT (i.e. 1200) than lees shots in FLX (i.e. 900) I thoughy FLX should be better as it is newer. One of the meds I visited have both devices FLX and CPT and still he preferred CPT. Which is your view?

Hello, Thermage is a monopolar radiofrequency system that we commonly use for non-surgical facelifts, especially for skin sagging and facial fluctuations after the age of 40. It's the only FDA-approved system globally for jaw contouring and facelifting. Hence, your choice of Thermage is indeed very appropriate. Between Thermage CPT and FLX, the answer to your question undoubtedly favors Thermage FLX. This is because while CPT raises subcutaneous tissues only up to 56°C, FLX elevates them to 80°C. The applicators used in CPT for the face and neck reach a maximum depth of 3 mm, limiting their depth. Conversely, FLX applicators reach 4 mm and create a monopolar radiofrequency that penetrates much deeper. As radiofrequency spreads like an inverted cone from the surface, it affects all tissues such as the skin, subcutaneous layers, muscles, reaching down to the bone. Regeneration occurs in all tissues, stimulating collagen production and rejuvenating both the skin and deeper tissues.
There's a substantial difference between the effectiveness of the CPT applicator at 3 mm and the FLX applicator at 4 mm. The anticipated effect falls short with the CPT's 1200 pulses compared to the FLX's 900 pulses. There wasn't a design for a 1200-pulse applicator for FLX because the 4 mm applicator with 900 pulses and vibration technology provides maximum efficacy for a non-surgical facelift. FLX technology is far superior and more comfortable compared to CPT.
