Question

It has been a year since my braces and my teeth have shifted a little specially the lower ones what are the chances that after wearing my retainers my teeth will be the way they were ????

Sorry to say, but it appears you are suffering from relapse. This is a common occurrence when patient's do not where their retainers as prescribed. See your orthodontist now before the relapse worsens. He may be able to re-align your teeth in a short period of time then make you a new retainer.

Without seeing how your teeth WERE, it is hard to tell. As a rule of thumb, retainers retain, not move. This means they hold teeth in place. It seems there has been some rotation when they have shifted, so I would doubt that your retainer can help.
