Based on a previous post, it appears that Invisalign is generally safe while pregnant. Could someone speak more directly to tooth filing (IPR) and application of the Invisalign attachments? Do either of these more specific procedures carry any risk for someone in their first trimester (e.g., filing itself, fluoride treatment after filing, chemicals in attachment adhesive, blue light applied to dry the adhesive)?

Talk to your dentist about your concerns. Is it .5 mm from each tooth or is it .25 mm from each side (which would add up to a net .5 mm) Start by listing the goals of your treatment - do you and your dentist share the same goals? Ask if Invisalign can achieve these options...
