Can the part where the ink bled out past the tattoo be lasered out precisely without damage to the actual tattoo?

Hello Thriving.  Yes it's possible that what you are asking for can be achieved but we would never guarantee it.  The reason is that the energy associated with this type of treatment is extremely high and even when we use a wooden tongue blade to protect the darker area, sometimes it still absorbs some of the light.

It is possible to treat specific areas of a tattoo, although once your desired results has been achieved, you may need a touch up on the area you want to keep to keep the line cohesive. To be sure what is best for you, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. I hope this helps.

Hello, Yes, blown out ink can be removed without disrupting the original part of the tattoo. Most spot sizes on the laser are fairly tiny and an experienced laser technician or doctor can just hit the blown out area and not the tattoo. Also, usually blown out ink is not as thick and requires less treatments than original ink will. I love the PicoWay for this kind of removal as it is so efficient when removing lighter ink.
