Question

I had a SMAS facelift, necklift, upper/lower blepheroplasty & browlift three weeks ago and am now losing a great deal of hair from the front of my scalp and crown. I had a hair transplant a few years ago (2019) and am worried this is permanent. If I just tug on my hair in these areas, I am left with chuncks of very thin hairs. Is this temporary and how how long will it continue? Is there anything I can do?

The brow lift and facelift may have caused shock loss in the hairs that were transplanted from the front 2cm of the scalp especially if a trichophytic incision was used. Less likely in the crown area. In my experience, shock loss as not been permanent. An option would be to use minoxidil or perhaps there could be some separate etiology completely unrelated that may have caused this.
