57 y.o. perimenopausal with severe bone loss and periodontal disease around one tooth; they feel it needs to be pulled and grafted. There is another loose tooth on the other side of the mouth without bone disease. This is all since my last years exam which was stable with 2mm gum depth. Gum depth is bad at the 2 loose teeth but remains 2-3 in all other areas. I'm iron deficient but otherwise healthy. No change in diet or hygiene habits; are there systemic health issues I need to address?
