Hello, Currently, I am on tray #9 (total of 18) Invisalign trays. I might need a 'refinement period' after the 9 months, extending the treatment to 1 year. I have no aesthetic concern with Invisalign, however it has really affected my speech. I will be starting college in Fall and I'm considering stopping the treatment at the end of summer, wearing my retainer *Every Night* and re-continuing during winter break and/or summer. Would that be an option at all?!!!

Sometimes (often) Invisalign needs "refinement" or mid course corrections. This would be one of those times. It may not close all the way, so short term brackets or an Inman aligner might do the trick. If all else fails, some bonded composite at the end can do wonders.
