Can St. John's Wort cause hair loss?

I take this herb for depression. I have tried other prescription anti-depressants but this works the best for me. I have some male pattern hair loss. Could the St. John's be the cause or contribute to the hair loss? Thanks.

Yes, it is possible that dutasteride 0.5 mgs taken every other day may be more effective than finasteride 1mg taken every day, but there is no direct evidence that this is the case.
