Will I shed after using minoxidil for three days?

Question

Applied it twice a day for two days and once on the third day. I’m considering stopping its use due to not being able to commit to it in the long run,question is will I shed after such a short use.

Minoxidil, a topical medication often used to treat hair loss, works by prolonging the growth phase of hair follicles. It can stimulate hair growth and slow balding.
However, using minoxidil can initially lead to a phenomenon known as "shedding" in the first few weeks of treatment. This is when the hair follicles push out the old hairs to make room for new growth.
While this is a common occurrence, it typically doesn't occur as quickly as three days into treatment. The shedding phase usually begins two to eight weeks after starting the medication and can last for a few weeks. It's important to understand that this is a temporary phase and is generally a sign that the medication is working.
As always, individual experiences can vary, and not everyone who uses minoxidil will experience shedding. If you're concerned about increased hair loss after starting minoxidil, it's best to consult with your healthcare provider.
