Is it true that gastric bypass surgery has been proven to improve or even cure Hashimoto's disease over time?

I have been diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease and as a treatment (besides the medication) it has been suggested that I have bariatric surgery (gastric bypass). I have heard that with time it can actually reverse the Hashimoto's disease but I cannot find any such evidence online.

I have heard of cases where it has improve Hashimoto’s.However, I have never heard of a case where
it cured it.Hashimoto’s is an
inflammatory state of the thyroid.Losing weight through obesity surgery decreases inflammation in the
entire body, this is why inflammatory diseases like Hashimoto’s improve.

Hashimoto is an autoimmune disease of the thyroid, and doesn`t have a direct relationship. All cause of hypothyroidism will be related to gain weight, and you are going to lose it after any bariatric surgery if you are treating the disease. Will be easily to control and will need lower doses because have less weight
