Typically most insurance companies require a minimum of 500 gms per breast to be removed to trigger coverage. With the average cup ranging from 150-200 cc, it is probable that this will produce a 2 cup reduction in size. However, this is only an estimate
Tammy, If you are currently a DDD and you are going to have 300 grams removed from each breasts this will not produce a DD. More tissue needs to be removed. I do not guarantee cup size but match breasts to the patient's body type. Dr. ES
Unfortunately, there is no direct correlation between the amount of tissue removed and the ultimate cup size that a patient will wear after breast reduction surgery. Before undergoing the breast reduction procedure it is very important to communicate your size goals with your surgeon. In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or “C cup” or "fake looking" means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. Best wishes.
It is hard to say what your final size will be, but assume it will drop about a cup to a cup and 1/2. Photos are nice to see and of course an exam is the best.

Thank you for your question. In order to reduce the risk of infection and wound healing, your BMI should be no higher than 32. Reach out to your primary care physician for guidance on weight loss. Best wishes!
It is very common to perform liposuction with a reduction mammoplasty or breast reduction. The plastic surgeon can start the liposuction of the back/posterior trunk before the breast surgery. In an outpatient surgery center, one liter of fat (lipoaspirate) can be removed at the same...
