6mths ago, I underwent a craniotomy to resect a left temporal arteriovenous malformation (AVM). The surgery was a success. However, I now have facial asymmetry due to temporalis muscle displacement. The cut temporalis muscle has contracted downwards creating a depression along the inferior margin of the temporal line of the frontal bone and a muscular protrusion at the inferior portion of the temporal fossa. Is it possible to do reconstructive surgery to resuspend the temporalis muscle?
