My clear retailer snapped in two, will it still work? (Photos)

My clear retailer snaped in two. The crack is right next to my front tooth. Theres no missing peices and it fits back perfectly in place. Will it still stop my teeth from shifting? I really cant afford to buy a new one.

If you take impressions NOW to get a retainer, it will keep teeth in the position they are currently in.  If impressions were taken right when the brackets came off, you might be able to get the teeth to go back if they haven't moved THAT much.  An Inman Aligner might help.

Bicuspid extraction orthodontics can be reversed. In your case, it sounds like your lower jaw was back too far and your doctor extracted upper bicuspids and pulled upper front teeth back in  order to align upper front teeth with teeth in the lower jaw. This is great treatment if all you care ...

If I treat a patient on one arch only, I always give them retainers for both arches at the end of treatment.  Teeth tend to shift over time and become more crowded (with or without prior orthodontic treatment), so I don't want that to happen to my patient, even if I haven't...
