To transplant the area behind your current area you would need 3600-4500 grafts (assuming 100 % graft survival). 3600 would get you somewhat close to the frontal density that has been created but 4500 grafts ( or more) would make it more consistently even. Your surgeon can determine how many grafts you truly have available for further procedures. It may not be 3600-4500. You will want to meet with an experienced surgeon to discuss if truly you want even coverage or whether you want to create a more significant density in the front 2/3 of the scalp and leave the crown with lighter density. If you are under 45 you may want to consider the first option as some further loss could occur over the next 40 years.
