Wearing Invisalign trays only at night?

Question

Hi, so I recently started invisalign, and am on my second tray. I won't be seeing my orthodontist until 2 1/2 more weeks, but I would already have been wearing the same trays for 14 days this Friday (he told me to wear them for 10). I do not have anymore trays yet because he wanted me to get attachments. The office told me to just wear my trays at night until the appointment, but come in with them. Does that sound like a good idea or should I just keep wearing them?

Invisalign aligners are meant to be worn day and night, so to be on the safe side, I would continue to do so.  In the meantime, I would call your orthodontist and see if he can get you in sooner.  Since you were suppose to wear them only for ten days, an extra three weeks is unnecessary and will extend your total treatment time.

I recommend you continue to wear your aligners for 20-22 hours every day until your next visit. Good luck.

Hi, thanks for sending your question. You should be wearing your trays/aligners 23 hours a day. By only wearing them at night time your time may shift out of position. All the best.
