Is it safe to get laser tattoo removal after septal occluder device treatment?

I have recently received treatment for an atrial septal defect using a septal occluder device. I have an unwanted tattoo on my chest and I am unsure now as to whether it is safe to have laser treatment on this area. Any help/answers/previous experiences would be appreciated.
