Braces or surgery - which procedure would be best for addressing overjet and crowding? (photos)

Question

Overjet, 7 crowns on top teeth, bottom teeth a little crowded and far back. I don't expect a completely perfect bite, I would just like the teeth to be pulled closer together to give a less goofy smile and better look from the side. Braces or jaw surgery?

It is possible to correct the underlying issues with Epigenetic Orthopedics which can also be helpful for snoring, airway issues, headaches, migraines or TMJ Disorders.
They are larger appliances that need to be worn for 14-16 hours/day.
A neuromuscular orthotic might first.be the best first approach if there are any pain, headache, migraine or TMD  issues
