I hate this bone graft. Can I have it removed?

8 weeks out from bone graft for a failed root canal. The graft is more painful than the tooth. Dr. Said it looks ok and pain should gradually ease. Now I have food lodged in it that I can not swish out. The food seems to be causing even more pain.

Healing from a bone graft takes on the average four to six months. Some grafts take longer, some less. If human growth factors were added to the graft material, you would expect increased swelling. You really need to consult with your doctor because only he knows what materials he used and how...
