Scab Peeled off when I Was Twist and Turning During Sleep?

Hi i had laser resurfacing and the scab peeled off when i was probably twisting and turning during sleep. Now it looks pink with a little dent; i am afraid it will turn into a scar. I read online to put petroleum jelly on it. I was wondering what i can put on it to heal without having a scar. Does petroleum jelly, aloe, vitamin e capsule work? It is also my 6th day since i did the laser resurfacing. Thank-you.

We usually have patient use Aquaphor after a laser resurfacing. the most important thing is to keep the skin clean and moist. I am strongly against the use of vitamin E capsules - I seen patients gets blisters and scarring from this. You should call your doctor and ask for their recommendation.

Most plastic surgeons will typically recommend keeping your face clean and moist after a laser resurfacing to avoid formation of scabs. If you did have alot of scabbing and feel that you now have an area where scar tissue might form you should keep the area moist and contact your treating plastic surgeon or dermatologist immediately.
