Braces, gum contour, teeth bond? (photos)

Question

I haven’t had an actual dentist look at my teeth yet. I know I want braces, my gummy smile gone and my gap between my two front teeth to be closed. Will I be able to do all these procedures? What would be the order to do them? Braces first? Or?

I would recommend starting with orthodontic treatment first and once the teeth/bite are at the correct position, have the gum contouring, you would not want to move teeth once your gums have been contouring.

Thanks for sending your question and pictures. It appears that you have a deep bite which means your upper front teeth go over your lower front teeth too much. By having orthotodontics this can be eliminated which also will allow the gum tissues to appear differently and the gummy smile to improve. Once completed if you still desire to improve the esthetics of the gums then options of gum re contouring are available to reshape the gum lines as well. You should begin with your orthodontic treatment first and proceed accordingly. You might be happy to learn that you can use clear aligners like the invisalign to accomplish these as well.
