Hello, my age is almost 19 and I've got a receding hairline and my uncles are bald but my dad is almost norwood 3.5 and is age is 56yrs old. So my doctor(from India because i live in india) told me that I'm suffering from male pattern baldness and told me that you have to accept it he can't do anything. I've started finasteride1mg daily since 4days and I'm not able to see any side effects in these four days, also I lost only normal amount ofhairs in these four days.

It takes at least 6 months to see any value from finasteride and a year to see 80% of the results from the drug which you must stay on to keep what you get from it

It is an unfortunate reality, but due to the cycles of hair growth on the scalp, ALL hair loss remedies, including surgery!!, take a FULL YEAR to show results.  SO you just started an effective drug for stopping hair loss (finasteride), and unfortunately, it will take lots of patience.  However, ANY remedy you chose would take this long, so don't feel too badly!  Stick with it and you will be pleased that you did.
Incidentally, this 1 year rule is a great way to tell if someone is trying to sell you something - any "hair loss remedy" that promises results in less time is unlikely to be accurate.
