Hello! Is it possible to "shift" the width from one side of a tooth to another using veneers and shaving? I have a gap on my teeth that would most favorably be closed to my aesthetic preferences if one could simply move a .5-1mm from one side to another of each tooth. I have no knowledge of whether this is even in the realm of feasible or not, so thought I should check to save myself the embarrassment before I bring it up to my cosmetic dentist.

Hi! I would definitely bring this up with your dentist. I am intrigued but do not have an answer although it is likely something simple. I would take an xray to know more and also evaluate the teeth next to it. Best of luck!
Gum recontouring is a great option for short teeth! It is simple and recovery is very quick. I do not use a laser and my patients say they feel completely fine the next day. I know you said you had lip injections but you could also consider botox (lip flip) to stop the upper lip from going too...
Removal is absolutely possible. There are specific lasers that remove them really well and without much fuss. I am not sure what is causing the gum issues if it is the veneers or something else. Sometimes I see gum inflammation on the roof of someone's mouth if they are breathing a lot though...
