What will my skin look like 2 days after the ResurFX treatment?

Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Melarase AM, Melarase PM, and Melapads can seriously improve surface sun damage and UV related pigmentation. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery.

Thank you for your post. ResurFx works well for acne scars and fine lines.  Furthermore, when done properly the treatment is painless with no downtime.  As with any laser treatment, not only the machine has to be well designed and built, a well-trained experienced provider is necessary to achieve optimal and safe outcome.

While recovery time will be dependent to some degree on the practitioner and settings used, you can expect some swelling initially, and redness for at least a few days.   There should not be any problem applying make up two days afterwards.

ResurFX works very well for acne scars. It takes about 2-3 treatments for results. You can expect some redness to the area that has been treated to last for about 3 days along with  very minimal swelling. Be sure to apply sunblock because the area will be sensitive to sunlight and also adequate hydration with moisturizer. Makeup can be applied two days after the treatment.
