I have a failing implant (front tooth) with a lot of bone loss. One surgeon suggested to leave it in and do a tissue graft on top. Another one said it needs to be removed ASAP to avoid more damage to adjacent teeth. The surgeon would try to remove it using reverse torque and then bone graft the site. I read online that platelet-rich plasma would be better to heal large bone defects. But this surgeon does not use this technology. Would a bone graft with allograft be working as well?
