Modern western medicine is one of the few aspects of society that is based on evidence. The majority of what people do in most professions is based on opinion and belief. Medicine on the other hand is based on proving what works and what doesn’t work and moving forward recommending and doing only what has shown to be effective through scientific study. Obviously individual physicians have their own opinions and believes and this creates some variation in the delivery of medical care. Mesotherapy has no scientific evidence showing it to be affective and therefore it’s considered quackery or fake medicine. For that reason it is not supported or promoted by legitimate properly trained physicians in the United States and the western world. Doctors who offer these treatments can be referred to as quacks or charlatans. Taking people‘s money on false beliefs that something works when it doesn’t is unethical and is not part of ethical medical practice. This is why American doctors do not engage in Mesotherapy.
