This is most likely a vein, not a tendon. I see it more commonly after breast augmentation than reduction. The surgeon should be able to break it up into small pieces after 1 month so that it does not constrict your movement across the armpit. Wait to stretch it out until the surgeon says its ok.
Thank you for your question. With a breast reduction and lift, they should have left your tendon alone, and it is likely just swelling in the area. The swelling should resolve in 14-21 days. I hope this helps!
Thank your for your question and what you are experiencing is difficult to determine without photos. The description sounds like a thrombosed vein which looks like a cord and is tender. If this is the problem it will resolve with warm compresses and time. To make sure this is the problem you should see your surgeon.
The "tendon" you are describing is probably Mondor's syndrome is more then likely a thrombosed vein to the breast and should resolve with time and warm compressesDr Corbin
Thank you for your question. There may be a small amount of fluid in the area and this should absorb over a few days. Notify your surgon of this and ask them if they would like to evaluate you. I hope this helps!
It certainly will take time to resolve. It may not return to normal, but it is not possible to predict what is going to happen this early after surgery. Be patient.
After breast reduction, you should be in your house doing nothing for a week. After that you can go back to work. No exercise for 1 month. By 6 weeks most people are able to do cardio and will feel very well. You should be able to go on holiday.
