I didn't have an implant. Six weeks ago I had #30 extracted because of a failed root canal several years ago. The surgeon did remark that he scraped a great deal of bone, then did the graft. Inside my mouth, on the outside of my jaw there is a knot, still very tender. Is this normal? I am no longer interested in an implant. I just want this to heal. Also, this is very difficult to keep food out of the recess
