Was told my eMax crowns (6 front teeth) would look VERY different than temporary crowns - my temporary crowns look BAD! (Photos)

Sorry to hear that you are not happy with the temporary crowns that you have.  In our office we do a wax up prior to doing a cosmetic case so the patient can see what the final result would look like.  Prior to cementing the crowns in your mouth make sure you are happy since it cannot be redone once they are cemented in.  Speak up or you will not be happy.  

The temporary crowns should not dictate what the permanent crowns will look like so don't let that keep you up at night. If you have concerns though, it is reasonable for you to look at the permanent crowns before they are cemented in place to make sure you are happy with them.  The shade, shape and look of the crowns can be altered by the dental lab if needed and typically can be done quickly (1-2 days).  Make sure that the permanent crowns meet your standard.  It also would not hurt to let the dentist (who can tell the dental lab) know if there is a certain way you want the teeth to look, this includes being involved in the choice for the shade/color of the crowns.You have control in this situation, just make sure to let your voice and concerns be heard.

Sorry but the images you show really don't help. The one suggestion I would make is that before any final restoration is placed that you get a chance to approve them. Never allow crowns of any kind to be permanently cemented without your permission.Hope this helps.Dr. Ganz
