I am 42 and had lower (and upper) eyelid surgery 2 years ago but have been very unhappy with the wrinkles under my eyes. I feel like I look so much older when I smile. I had consultations with 2 plastic surgeons who both told me I don't have enough skin for another lower eyelid surgery. My recommendations were microneedling, Belotero under my eyes, and also Botox in my forehead while I'm at it. From looking at my pictures do you think those will make a big difference? And help with the darkness?
Answer: Botox For Motion-Related Wrinkles From the photos, it appears that your wrinkling is most visible under the eyes and in the crow's feet region with smiling. If this indeed so, Botox works well for the crow's feet and a tiny droplet of Botox in the belly of the small muscle below the lower eyelid margin would help to diminish the wrinkling there, as well. Rather than Belotero, which I would use for treating full-on tear troughs and hollows under the eyes, you might wish to discuss a series of superficial peels to smooth and rejuvenate the area. Make sure that consult with a board certified aesthetic physician, and best of luck to you.

Answer: Dark Circles/Eye Bags/Wrinkles - Fillers (Belotero, Juvederm Volbella); Lasers (Fraxel/CO2); Renuvion; Microneedling/PRP; Peels At home peels like cosmelan, enlighten and aerify along with dermarolling (MTS roller with anteage MD ampules) should be started now. There are many things you can do to treat under eye hollows and dark circles. A surgical option to remove skin and/or fat will such as lower eyelid blepharoplasty with or without fat pad repositioning will be the best long term. There are many things you can do to treat under eye hollows and dark circles without surgery. Non invasive less downtime options such as fillers (Belotero, Juvederm Volbella), lasers (Moxi/Halo/Fraxel/CO2), Renuvion (J-Plasma), microneedling/PRP, stem cells and microneedling RF like Fractora PiXel8 or Morpheus can all help give some improvement. Accutite can often be used or stronger lasers like erbium or co2 spot treatment can tighten the skin and give very quick improvement in wrinkles and texture. A surgical option to remove skin and/or fat might be the best solution long-term. I suggest you get a formal consultation to see what is best for you and your goals. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Under eye area Thanks for your question. I would definitely recommend a series of microneedling RF in the eye area, focusing primarily on the lower eyelids, and maybe some soft filler like Belotero or RHA2. Be sure to see a very experienced dermatologist or plastic surgeon so they will be very familiar with the under eye anatomy and safety of that delicate area. It is important to feel very comfortable with someone you trust. Sometimes filler under the eyes can look very abnormal if not properly placed. Best of luck!

Answer: Undereye Wrinkles Wrinkles under the eyes can be treated with small amounts of Botox, undereye filler (such as Belotero), and threads. Botox tights the muscle under the eye, the filler restores lost volume and hydrates dry skin, and threads create new collagen and strengthen the lower eyelid.

Answer: Do you think microneedling and Belotero for under eye wrinkles will make a big difference? I totally disagree! Try micro BOTOX for crows feet and static under eye wrinkles, in few sessions. Micro needling ok but I see no reason for HA filler unless doing hyper diluted HA filler along with micro Botox. Fee in $3,000 ranges.
