I got my tooth extracted (i believe tooth #31) and had a bone graft done, and currently I'm waiting to have my implant put in. However, I recently got a essix retainer, that also fits around my missing tooth. If my teeth won't be moving because of the retainer, and I have a bone graft possibly preventing bone deterioration, then do I really need to spend the money to get an implant? I would recommend a new abutment (post) made of zirconia. You should have less of a grayness after that. Sometimes the bone and gums of an implant can be thin and you may still have a little grayness. But a zirconia abutment will help a lot!
