Is sensitivity to temperature after tooth shaving normal? (Photo)

Sorry to hear that you are having some discomfort. It is normal for teeth to be achy during any form of orthodontic movement and especially after space has been created between your teeth.  What concerns me though is the fact that you say it is uncomfortable to touch as well.   I would seek care from the dentist and talk to him about your symptoms.  It may be something that needs treatment or you could just require some fluoride to help with the sensitivity 

Hi Jessica, its normal for teeth to be achy during any form of braces treatment. The sensitivity is also increased and even more so if teeth are trimmed to create space. But it should not be painful. Yo can ask your dentist to do a fluoride treatment of teeth and also advise you good desensitising toothpaste. Apply this toothpaste 2 times a day without rinsing it off and use your aligners. It should reduce sensitivity. Hope it helps.
